4:54 p.m. Initial call came in from Heartland to 911

4:55 p.m. Fire department alerted MGE, reported a pipe breach

4:56 p.m.  Fire dept changed priority call, moved it up in priortity, responded as an emergency

4:58 p.m. Pumper company No. 19 responded

5:04 p.m. Pumper No. 19 arrived

5:16 p.m. MGE first responders, utility specialty workers arrived

5:17 p.m. Pumper No. 19 returned to service; released from that scene/called off

5:31 p.m. Another MGE employee arrives
Prior to explosion a 3-person crew with a backhoe from MGE arrived on scene and began to set up operations

5:47 p.m. Third MGE worker arrives

6:04 p.m. Six people from MGE on scene
Prior to explosion, a backhoe attempted to vent where they thought the location of the leak had been
