Crews to plow KCMO streets over weekend, ask for help with parked cars
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Mo., snow crews will continue plowing primary and arterial routes Friday evening — suspending some routes at 7 p.m. and beginning again at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
The city said all primary and arterial routes have been run and 75 percent of residential routes have had “at least one pass.”
The city is asking for people to park off-street, if possible. If you must park on the street:
- North/South streets, park on the west side
- East/West streets, park on the north side
In addition, the city said they will keep the 311 call center open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you believe your street was missed, you can call 311 or 816-513-1313 or online at www.kcmo.org/311.
Many streets in Kansas City are actually part of the highway system and plowing for them is MoDOT’s responsibility. These streets include: Bannister Road, Noland Road, Vivion Road, Antioch Road and part of Independence Avenue. The telephone number for MoDOT is 816-622-6500.
