Sometimes tweets deserve to be taken off the Internet and put on television!

Our @fox4kc Twitter account is growing and many have taken advantage of our love for social media and have sent us snow-related pictures via the social site. )Watch the video to see some of our favorites!)

For those of you unfamiliar with Twitter, allow me to explain and dispel some of the myths. One of the biggest misconceptions is that people HAVE to tweet. Well, guess what, you don’t! You can simply create an account and pick your favorite people to follow: celebrities, news channels, inspirational speakers … the list goes on! If and when you ever want to tweet, you can. But you don’t have to.

When you sign up, make FOX4KC one of the first accounts you follow. By doing so, you’ll stay abreast of breaking news as it happens. Our reporters tweet from the field, providing you with pictures and information from crime scenes, news conferences, fires — whatever their assignment is! You’ll also find links to our most interesting stories on fox4kc.com and will occasionally see really witty and charming comments from us. :)

If you’re an avid tweeter and are looking to grow your own Twitter following, tweet us. We’ll tweet back — as often as we can. We’ll RT (retweet) noteworthy, funny or useful information and keep you engaged — and informed. We love social media and want YOU to partner with us. If you’re interested in following our reporters and anchors individually, find them here.
