Track flooding road closures via MoDOT’s online map

The Missouri Department of Transportation is tracking road closures due to flooding. To see the areas that are closed, view the map on their website provided in the link below.


The National Weather Service said the Mississippi River could reach up to 10 feet above flood stage by the middle of next week in parts of Missouri, Iowa and Illinois.

With more rain expected, National Weather Service Hydrologist Mark Fuchs told the New York Times flooding could be notable in some areas.

“North of St. Louis, we’re looking at the kind of flooding we haven’t seen since 2008,” he said. Hundreds of homes were damaged in Iowa due to flooding that year.
