Gladstone police seek tips in woman’s unsolved murder

GLADSTONE, Mo. — Gladstone, Mo., police are asking the public for information that could help solve the 2012 murder of a local woman.

Police said Nancy Bowman, 52, was first reported missing on Aug. 2, 2012 from the Mountain View Apartment Complex. She was last seen on July 31 in the early evening hours walking to Gladstone Fire Station #1, located at 6118 N. Oak, however she never made it.

Her body was recovered on Aug. 8, 2012 from a heavily wooded area near the Mountain View Apartment Complex. An autopsy revealed she had been stabbed. Police ruled her death a homicide.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816.474.TIPS or by texting tips to 274 637 and include the code TIP452. All calls and tips remain anonymous.

Information leading to an arrest could be eligible for up to $1,000 in reward money.
