High-profile murder suspect kills self in jail
NEW CENTURY, Kan. — A man who was jailed in connection to the death of a Myrtle Beach doctor was found dead inside his Johnson County jail cell Monday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, John Hodges was found unresponsive in his cell around noon.
Jail medical staff and Med-Act conducted life saving measures but Hodges died.
Hodges’ death is being investigated as a suicide at this time, however the investigation into his death is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
