KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Police investigated a double shooting Friday afternoon in Kansas City, Kan. that injured a man and woman.
It happened just before 6 p.m. in the area of 13th and Freeman.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK, police said.
Police said their initial investigation reveals a gunman opened fire on a gathering in the area and then fled, possibly in a dark-colored SUV.
