PAMPLONA, Spain -- An American and two Spaniards were gored during Friday's Running of the Bulls.
There were some frightening moments when one bull got loose in the packed streets of the city of Pamplona. The bull tossed a man around for almost 30 seconds as fellow runners tried to pull the bull away by its tail.
At one point the man clung to one of the horns before he was dropped back on the ground and was eventually dragged away by his feet from someone in the crowd.
Local officials have not released information on his condition, but did say the 20-year-old American was injured in the abdomen.
The bulls can weigh more than 1,300 pounds and have killed 15 people since record-keeping began in 1924.
A 27-year-old Spaniard was the last person to be killed when he was gored in the neck in 2009.
