Kansas City barber shop shooting victim identified
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man was shot to death during a double shooting at the 100 block of W. 39th Street in Kansas City, Mo. on Friday night. Police identified that man as Cody Brown, 24, on Saturday.
Police said the shooting happened inside a barber shop. Brown died at the scene. Another person, a woman, was injured. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but she has since been listed in stable condition.
Authorities said two black men walked into the barber shop around 7:30 p.m. and opened fire. Police believe the man and the woman were intended targets. After shooting the pair, the two suspects ran.
