KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Family and friends gathered this weekend to celebrate the lives of an Ohio couple who died in a plane crash at Kansas City's downtown airport.
John K. Lallo was the president of McRoyal Industries, a company that provides products to the food industry. His wife, Dianna, was a retired school teacher. An investigator said Lallo reported engine trouble shortly after takeoff, and was returning to the downtown airport when the plane crashed one week ago.
The Lallo's lived in Girard, Ohio, which is near Youngstown. According to investigators it could be months before the exact cause of the crash is known.
