Ford recalls 370,000 cars due to potential steering problems
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ford Motor Company is recalling 370,000 cars due to potential steering shaft malfunctions that may result in loss of steering. To date, no accidents or injuries have been reported.
The cars include 2005 to 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Cars. While the Ford plant in Claycomo, Mo., does not make those models, cars in Missouri are among those that have been recalled.
Other states include: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
Ford owners in other states may ask for inspections and repairs.
