KANSAS CITY, Mo. – FOX 4 Problem Solvers have been tracking wedding photographer Mario Antoine for months, and on Friday, Antoine learned he’d be serving some hard time. Antoine was found guilty on Friday afternoon on nine of 10 felony counts for defrauding newlyweds. He faces up to seven years in prison for the convictions.

When Problem Solvers confronted Antoine in 2012 he had a litany of excuses for why he hadn’t fulfilled his commitments. He claimed he felt threatened after one bride had left him an angry voicemail, but that voicemail had come only minutes before she walked down the aisle.

On one occasion where Antoine did fulfill his obligation to shoot, he never gave the bride or groom the pictures. When we initially told the groom, Robert Prutsman, that Antoine had been arrested, Prutsman was elated.

“It’s definitely something to be happy about. It’s a little peace throughout this entire situation,” Prutsman told Problem Solvers. “Does it change the fact that I don’t have wedding photos? Absolutely not. But to know he’s actually getting punished for what he’s doing, fantastic, fantastic.”

Will get even worse now so many women think it is fashionable to be “A Photographer” and cameras’s have become more easy to use. It akin to buying a green jump suit and Ford Mustang and calling yourself a NASCAR driver. Photographing anyone for money when you have no training is dangerous , but when it involves a wedding the days events are lost when the “Photographer” is an an inexperienced rascal. Getting Married, find a reputable photographer through th Professional Photographers of America.
