PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Ks. -- A metro pastor will be sleep in a comfortable bed Sunday after spending Saturday night out on the streets.
Mercy Church pastor, Timmy Gibson, has been “going homeless” with other church members for one night a year for seven years now.
Gibson said he has learned a lot about the homeless, including how they find food, water, and survive being outside in the elements.
“The thing that gets me every time, and actually bothers me before I do it and it's this feeling of being less than, like I’m invisible,” he said.
Gibson asks that when you see someone who is homeless, you simply just acknowledge them, even if you cannot give them anything.
