KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Car Santa worked a little overtime in Kansas City this holiday season.
On Thursday, with the help of Operation Breakthrough, he gave a van to a single mother who was once the victim of domestic violence.
Kahtea Bo Bo recently accepted a job in Lenexa. She starts Jan. 6, but without transportation, Bo Bo was prepared to ride the bus -- a journey that would have taken 2.5 hours.
On Thursday Bo Bo was surprised and overjoyed by the generous gift.
"It means we can get to work and get around, but even more so it means that people care and that in itself means a lot more 'cause it's a morale booster," she said. "It says you're moving in the right direction and that in itself is worth any numerical value ever."
