LAWRENCE, Kan. — K-State’s 10-game winning streak came to an end Saturday in Allen Fieldhouse. No. 18 Kansas whipped the 25th-ranked Wildcats 86-60. The Jayhawks shot 65-percent and had 14 assists and zero turnovers in a nearly flawless first half.

Freshman Andrew Wiggins followed a pedestrian first half with a sizzling second half. Wiggins scored 13 straight in one stretch for the Jayhawks and finished with 22 points. Fellow freshman Wayne Selden scored 20, helping the Jayhawks improve to 11-4 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12.

The 26-point final is K-State’s worst loss in the Sunflower Series since 2007. The Wildcats were led by Nino Williams’ 12 points and Thomas Gipson’s 10. Leading scorer Marcus Foster was held to seven points on 3-for-12 shooting.

Up next for KU, a Big Monday match-up against No. 9 Iowa State in Ames. The Cyclones (14-1 / 2-1) were upset by Oklahoma 87-82 Saturday. K-State (12-4 / 2-1) hosts the Sooners on Tuesday.
