KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Ten people face charges in Kansas City, Kan. after police discovered an alleged cockfight.
Police were called to a home near 49th and Parallel for a report of an animal fight. A police source told FOX 4 that when officers arrived they found roosters and feathers all over the basement.
A man who didn't want to give his name answered the door at the home Monday night. He said police did come to the home over the weekend and animal control took some roosters into custody. He declined further comment except to say, "the matter is to be cleared up in the courts."
In all 10 people were cited and released, the exact charges are presently unknown. FOX 4 will continue to follow this developing story.
