Kansas City officer injured when driver runs stop sign

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City, Mo., police officer sustained minor injuries Wednesday morning after a driver ran a stop sign and T-boned her patrol car.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. near 57th and Troost.

Paramedics transferred the officer and female driver to the hospital, both with minor injuries.

Police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
