FBI seeks man who robbed KC bank, left scene on foot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man wearing a brown coat robbed the First Federal Bank, 4227 Blue Ridge Blvd., Friday afternoon, threatening the people there with a gun.

In a release, the FBI said at approximately 1:30 p.m. the bank robbery suspect entered the bank and approached the teller window. He then produced a note demanding money. He did not display a weapon, and left on foot without incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 or 40 years of age, standing about 5′ 4″ tall. He had a beard, and was wearing a business suit, glasses, and a tan panama hat.

suspectPolice said they believe the man left with cash, but were not releasing how much.

The FBI asks anyone with information in regard to this crime to contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474- TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.
