Police seek help investigating accident in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Kansas Highway Patrol wants information about a wreck that happened over the weekend, injuring two people critically.

Early Saturday morning a driver, the driver of a van said he swerved to avoid debris in the road from a crash. He hit a disabled car at I-435 and Quivira.

Two people were standing outside that disabled Ford Escort.  They have been identified as Maragurite Isaac, 40, of Olathe and Lacy Deardoff, 24, of Overland Park. Both suffered critical injuries.

The Highway Patrol is trying to figure out how the first crash occurred, leaving the debris in the road.
