Zoo worker dressed up in gorilla costume mistaken for escaped animal, shot with dart
A man in Spain is in serious condition after he was hit with a stun-dart at a zoo by a novice veterinarian who mistook him for a real gorilla.
At the time, the man was dressed up in a gorilla costume for a practice drill outlining the procedures zoo workers should follow when an animal escapes.
The dart was full of drugs powerful enough to take down a 400 lb gorilla.
According to a newspaper in Spain, the employee was running around the zoo dressed up as a gorilla to make the drill more realistic.
The vet had only worked at the zoo two months
