LAWRENCE, Kan. -- One lane of westbound K-10 closed Wednesday morning and was expected to remain closed for about five hours so the Douglas County Sheriff's Dept. can investigate a death.

A call came into dispatchers at about 6 a.m. Wednesday. A worker in the area for a redevelopment project found the body of an adult male laying about three feet off the roadway at westbound K-10 near E. 1600 Rd.

Investigators say here were no obvious signs of a collision and no obvious signs of foul play.

FOX 4's John Pepitone reports that there are a few businesses and a homeless shelter nearby and people are known to regularly walk along that portion of the roadway.
