Man who had face transplant becomes GQ magazine cover model
BALTIMORE — Richard Norris accidentally shot himself in the face in 1997 when he was only 22-years-old.
He was left disfigured, became a near-recluse, covered the mirrors and went into hiding.
Then, in 2012, after his mom found a facial transplant surgeon in Baltimore while she was searching the internet, Norris underwent a groundbreaking face transplant surgery.
Now, at age 39, Norris will be featured in the August issue of GQ magazine. Read more of Norris’ story and see more pictures of him before the gun accident in the article by GQ. Click here for that link.
