Watch: Overland Park releases red light camera crash video for National Stop on Red Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Because this week is National Stop on Red Week, the Kansas Department of Transportation is raising awareness about the dangers of red-light running.

In a video posted to Facebook by Overland Park City Hall, several recent area crashes are shown which were caused by drivers who failed to stop at red lights.

Below is a national video released by ATSRoadSafety of more red light crashes and near misses.

National Stop on Red Week runs August 3 through 9. Follow the hashtag #StopOnRed2014 to see all the communities raising awareness about this important week.
