DES MOINES, Iowa — Two brothers and their sister from Johnston are sharing a $1 million lottery prize.

The Des Moines Register says 61-year-old Stephen Bevis, his 59-year-old brother, Craig, and their 55-year-old sister, Marsha, claimed their prize Monday at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines.

The siblings have bought lottery tickets together for a couple of years. Stephen Bevis bought the winning ticket at a Dahl’s grocery store in Des Moines. The ticket matched the numbers 13, 29, 34, 37 and 72 in the Aug. 1 Mega Millions drawing but didn’t match the Mega Ball number of 6.

The three netted more than $233,000 each after taxes were withheld.
