Health Department investigating possible heat-related death in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Mo. Health Department tweeted on Friday afternoon that its office is investigating a possible heat-related death. The victim is a man who was born in 1958, no other details were immediately given.

The health department says thus far in the summer of 2014 there has been one confirmed heat-related death and this current investigation is the only other one that is suspected. The health department also shared some tips for staying safe in the oppressive heat.
