MISSION, Kan. — Shot in the head at point-blank range and left for dead, pit bull mix Timber is fortunate to be alive. A good Samaritan found injured Timber wandering on a country road and took him to Unleashed Pet Rescue in Mission.

A video produced by Jacob Meyer shows Timber’s remarkable recovery from the malicious act. As you’ll see in the video, despite what’s happened to him, Timber loves to play and be around people and has an infectious smile.
