KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Royals fans have waited since 1985 for this day — the day the boys in blue take the field for Game One of the World Series. Major Eric Winebrenner has also been waiting for this day. During the Royals’ last World Series appearance, Winebrenner was the team’s  bat boy.

He reminisced with FOX 4’s Katie Ferrell Tuesday morning, saying he remembers how ornery the team could be. Winebrenner said it was like having a bunch of older brothers — obnoxious older brothers.
