Famous Royals’ fans expected at Kauffman for the World Series

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — While it’s hardly about them, there will be many celebrities in the stands, and on the field for the 2014 World Series games.

In Game One, Trisha Yearwood will perform the National Anthem before the game begins. Phillip Phillips will perform the National Anthem prior to Game Two on Wednesday. Phillips won Season 11 of American Idol.

But when there’s a pause in the game, expect to see the camera pan to other famous faces who love Royals baseball. (We don’t know for sure that any of these pictured will be attending, but they all now have ties to Kansas or Missouri.)

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Royals have obviously become recognizable themselves far beyond Kansas City. (Click here for the 25-man World Series roster.) On Thursday, Oct. 23, the Royals are represented on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
