Independence police search for endangered teen

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Independence Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing teen.

Police say Mahogany L. Washington, 15, was last seen at a residence located at 1441 S Baker Drive, in Independence around 4:00 a.m. on November 2. She is described as a 5’03” tall black female, weighing about 130 pounds, with blonde shoulder length hair and hazel eyes. She has a heart tattoo on her right rear hip and camel tattoo on her toe.

Washington is on unknown medication for past history of mental illness, and it is unknown if she has taken her medication.  Washington suffers from depression and prior suicide attempts.

Anyone who has seen the teen, or may have any additional information is asked immediately dial 911 or call the Independence Police Department at (816) 325-7300.
