Investigators suspect DUI may have contributed to fatal crash

OLATHE, Kan. — A 31-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early on Thursday morning. The Olathe Police Department reports that the fatal crash happened on 56 Highway at 159th Street at about 3 a.m.

Investigators say the victimized driver was traveling north on 56 Highway when he was hit by a driver headed west. That driver, a 32-year-old man, was not injured and later placed under arrest, he’s being investigated for possibly driving under the influence and remains in the Johnson County Detention Center.
