Police investigate suspicious death in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police are investigating a suspicious death at a Kansas City home.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence located near 12th and Askew where gunshots were reportedly heard. Upon arrival at the location, police observed a deceased individual.

A witness, who wished to remain off camera, said he had heard loud gunshots and minutes later police were surrounding the home near 12th and Askew with their guns drawn.

Police said this incident is being investigated as a suspicious death, and are not confirming the relationship between suspect and victim at this time. One suspect is currently in police custody.
