Man shot to death in KCMO on Monday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened on Monday afternoon. Officers had a street shut down near 28th and Monroe while they investigated the crime scene.

Officers responded to an ambulance call in the 2900 block of Monroe where a black man was taken from the scene in life-threatening condition. The victim then died at the hospital according to police.

Police have not specified whether a suspect is in custody or not, and ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS. Right now the incident is being investigated as a suspicious death. That may change pending a medical examiner’s determination of how the victim died.
