Employers seek to fill more than 500 available positions at career expo

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Those looking for a new job got the chance to meet with employers looking to fill open positions Wednesday.

More than 60 employers were at Arrowhead Stadium to meet with those seeking a new job opportunity from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Employers were looking to fill more than 500 positions.

The event was Kansas City's first major career expo this year.  More than 1,000 job seekers were expected to attend.

Some employers at the expo were interviewing candidates on the spot.

A few of the employers at the expo included the Sprint Center, Argosy Casino, Fed-Ex, Kohl's and ADT Security.

Employers at the expo recommended that candidates dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes to pass along.
