Espresso-Rubbed Bar-B-Que Short Ribs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Doug Worgul from Joe's KC and Jasper Mirable from Jasper's teamed up to make some incredible short ribs.

Six beef short ribs

Slather

  • 1/2 cup of yellow mustard 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon instant espresso

Rub

  • 2 tablespoons Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que Rub
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tsp The Roasterie Espresso

Combine ingredients for mustard slather. Brush on ribs.
Combine ingredients for ribs. Sprinkle over slathered ribs.

Place ribs in hotel pans. Smoke at 250° covered for about one and a half hours. Turn and cook until until ribs reach 185°. Add Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que Night of Living Sauce last 25 min. Place on serving platter
and reduce BBQ sauce.
