Two people die in shootings on KC’s east side

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police investigated two separate crime scenes where victims died from gunshot wounds on Friday night. One victim died at a convenience store located at 24th and Hardesty and another at 27th and Raytown Road according to police dispatchers.

Police say they found one victim dead at the scene at 24th and Hardesty at about 8:15 p.m. The second victim was taken to a hospital from the scene at 27th and Raytown Road where they later died.

Detectives are investigating to determine if the shootings are connected and haven't released any information about the victims or possible suspects.
