OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The man charged in connection with the Overland Park shooting is set to appear in court Monday afternoon.
Mario Sanders, 22, has been charged with aggravated battery, obstruction and possession of marijuana after an alleged shooting that happened Friday.
Police initially said the shooting was an accident, but later arrested Sanders.
The shooting took place near Grandview and 83rd Terrace and left one woman injured.
The victim told police that she was in her home with family when the shooting occurred.
The victim was transported to the hospital but later released after being treated for injuries.
Sanders is expected to appear before a judge at 1:30 p.m. in Johnson County.
