Independence police investigate fatal motorcycle crash

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Independence police are investigating a motorcycle accident that left one dead Sunday night.

Police said the motorcycle crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m. near Noland Road and 32nd Street.

According to police, a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle traveling north on Noland Road and rear ended a 2014 Ford Escape.

Police said the motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

According to police, no one in the Ford Escape was injured.

Police have not release the identity of the motorcycle driver.

Police said they were still investigating the accident.
