RIVERSIDE, Mo. -- It was an afternoon of fashion food and fun, as local celebrity models hit the catwalk for charity. Brush Up On Fashion, benefits Miles of Smiles, a charity that provides free dental care to kids in need.

Dental teams travel to schools throughout the Northland treating thousands of kids each year. On Friday, familiar faces came together to support that mission.

Among the models helping out are, FOX 4 News Anchors Phil Witt and Katie Ferrell , Mo. State Sen. Ryan Silvey and his wife Angela, former Mo. State Rep. Jason Grill, president of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce Sheila Tracy, North Magazine fitness editor Nick Bolton, and associate editor Tiffany Killoren, and reality show star Danni Boatwright.

But the real star of the show was the Moreno family, who walked the runway to show their appreciation for Miles of Smiles. Before being treated, the kids were in a lot of pain.

Alyssa, 16 years old, says the pain was so bad, it was distracting in class. Now her concentration is improved and she's doing much better in school.

Some 17,000 Northland kids do not have access to dental care, but with fundraisers like this, a lot more will be helped.
And more good news, Miles of Smiles will be moving to a larger office this summer, which means more kids will get treated there and in schools.
