Local firefighter charged after allegedly beating up coworker

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A  Kansas City, Kansas Firefighter has been charged with battery for allegedly beating up his coworker.

Anthony Mots was arrested Friday in connection to the incident.

According to the booking records, Mots allegedly beat up his coworker on Sunday at an address in the 7700 Block of Kansas Ave. The address matches the one listed for Station 20.

Mots has since been released from custody and is set to appear in court May 13.

Mots has also been suspended by the fire department while the incident is under investigation.
