Police ID victim in deadly East Side shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities have identified the person killed in a shooting near the CoCo Keys Water Resort on the city’s East Side.

Kansas City Missouri Police say that 19-year-old Ryshun Bell died of his injuries at a metro hospital after he was shot around 5:00 P.M. on Saturday near the water park, located in the Adam’s Mark Hotel across I-70 from the Truman Sports Complex.

A second unidentified person was taken by a private vehicle to a metro hospital in connection to the shooting. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

There were no other injuries reported in the incident. Authorities are searching for at least two suspects who reportedly fled into some nearby woods.
