Man found bleeding at Lawrence fast food restaurant, dies from apparent stabbing

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Shortly after 6:00 Monday morning officers and medical personnel were dispatched to the parking lot of McDonalds, 1309 West 6th Street, following a 911 call reporting an individual outside the restaurant was bleeding.  First responders treated the victim and transported him to Lawrence Memorial Hospital where he later died.  The victim is a male in his forties.  No arrests have been made in this investigation.

The crime is being investigated as a homicide, based on the nature of the injuries to the victim.  At this time, investigators believe the crime occurred at or near a home in the 700 block of Arkansas Street. Crime scene investigators will be working in that area throughout the day.
