Overland Park police search for suspects connected to theft

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Overland Park police are searching for two people who they believe are responsible for stealing a mini-van.

Police said when they pulled up to the Coventry Oak Apartments near 105th and Garnett while responding to a call to help Olathe police they noticed the two people take off running west of complex around 5 a.m.

Police said the white mini-van the suspects were driving was stolen out of the metro area.

According to police on the scene, there were two small motorcycles propped up against the van.

The suspects' gender or race has not yet been released. The first suspect is described as wearing a blue shirt and jeans. The second is described as wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
