FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. —  A burglary suspect got quite the surprise when he went to court, according to WSVN.

Arthur Booth, 49, was brought to tears when he realized his judge, Mindy Glazer, was a friend from middle school WSVN reports.

This happened at the Miami-Dade circuit court.

Judge Glazer told WSVN he was the nicest kid in middle school, and he’s not the childhood classmate she remembers.

“I’m sorry to see you there, I always wondered what happened to you, sir,” WSVN reports Judge Glazer saying.

She wishes him luck and hopes he can turn his life back around, according to WSVN.

“He was the best kid in middle school, I used to play football with him, all the kids looked up to him.. and look what has happened,” Judge Glazer said. “I’m so sorry to see you there.”
