KANSAS CITY, Mo.  – Summer is great time to get the whole family together and cook up a meal, but some days it's just too hot to heat up the oven. Nine-year-old Anderson Richey said one of his favorite recipes to make without heat is pico de gallo. He also said if you are looking for a quick and easy guacamole recipe all you have to do is add an avocado to the pico de gallo and stir.

Ingredients:
3 tomatoes
1/2 onion
3 T cilantro
3T lime juice
1 tsp salt
Jalapeño

Directions:
Chop all ingredients then mix together in large bowl.

For Guacamole: mix two avocados with three to four tablespoons of pico de gallo and one lime.
