OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Johnson County District's Attorney's Office charged a man in connection with a double homicide that happened earlier this month on 61st Terrace.

Monday, 18-year-old Donnell Cortez Preston, of Kansas City, Kansas, was charged with two counts of first degree murder in connection with the shooting death of two men.

Police said 18-year-old Velik Henderson and 19-year-old Trevon Anderson were both shot and killed. Just a week later, a woman who lived across the street from the two victims was also shot. Police tell us she is
36-year-old Quaushey Harris.

Police confirm to FOX 4 those two shootings are related, even though right now Preston is only facing charges in connection to the double homicide. Police also tell FOX 4 Harris was the aunt of a five-year-old little girl who was shot in a drive-by shooting over the weekend in Kansas City, Kansas.

Preston is being held on a two-million dollar bond at the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
