Police locate man wanted for questioning in connection to Overland Park double homicide

Man wanted by police for questioning

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police in Overland Park have taken a man in to custody, who is wanted for questioning in connection to a pair of recent homicides.

On Saturday police said Marquise Stokes, 18, had been taken into custody. Stokes was wanted by police for questioning in connection to the June 30th deaths of 18-year-old Velik Henderson and 19-year-old Trevon Anderson earlier in the area of 61st Terrace and Robinson in Overland Park.

Stokes is described as a black male, 5’ 7” and 140 pounds. Stokes also has numerous tattoos on both arms.

On Friday, police said Stokes, who was not in their custody at the time, should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
