Police search for missing 14-year-old KCMO girl

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are searching for a missing teenage girl who has not been since since late Friday night.

The Kansas City Police Department says Mataya Rambo-Smith, 14, had last been seen around 11 p.m. at her home, which is located in the 10800 block of N. Plamer in KCMO, on Friday, July 24. The following morning around 5 a.m. Rambo-Smith’s family said they discovered their back door ajar and the girl was missing. They say they have not heard from her since.

Rambo-Smith is described as a black female, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. She has box braids in her hair as well as an industrial ear piercing.
