KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It may be the 'best day ever' for your kids because teen heartthrob band "One Direction" plays at Arrowhead Stadium Tuesday night, but the excessive heat warning which lasts through the concert is something to be prepared for. While Directioners may think these four are well-worth the discomfort, Louis, Niall, Harry, and Liam also do not want their fans passing out from heat exhaustion mixed with heartthrob exhiliration.

The temperature is expected to reach 90 degrees, with a heat index of about 105 degrees. Obviously, it's important for the thousands of fans to stay hydrated, bring along sunscreen and wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. Arrowhead will allow one sealed bottle of water per guest but they can also bring an extra water bottle to refill inside the stadium. If you're going, don't waste this opportunity. You're going to need it.

Arrowhead will provide two upper level water misting fans. They will also provide parent waiting areas for parents who don't have tickets but want to hang out.

Also note: Arrowhead’s clear bag policy will be in effect during the concert as well.

MoDOT also issued a reminder that the bridge work on stadium road bridges, over I-435 and I-70 is a work in progress and guests should avoid the roadwork located at gates 6 and 7. The construction will restrict lanes on Stadium Road Bridges to one lane each direction.  MoDOT anticipates HEAVY traffic (their emphasis and upper case letters) for the sold-out concert. They say to plan accordingly by arriving early so you won't miss any of the concert.

Youth drop off and pick up will take place in lot l on the southeast side of the stadium.
