GRANDVIEW, Mo. – A Grandview family is asking for help finding their beloved therapy dog.

John and Tracie Loux reached out to FOX 4 on Monday asking for help finding Waldo, their 23 pound Mini-Golden Doodle, who they say has been a source of strength and comfort for their family. The dog was gifted to their family following the death of one of their children and brother’s, Mattie, in August of last year.

Waldo was last seen on Friday, July 31 around 9 p.m. at the Valley View Estates, near Askew and Valley Brook Drive, in Grandview. The family says Waldo pulled up a stake out of the ground and would likely be dragging that behind him.

They say he has a very short haircut for summer right now, which can be seen in the pictures provided. Waldo is also microchipped.

They say Waldo has been one of the ways they reach the hearts of two of their children with special needs, during times of grief. Two of our children have special needs and Waldo has been one way of reaching their hearts in their grief.
