KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police arrested one person who they believe is responsible for a carjacking that happened early Monday morning.
Kansas City Missouri police were initially called out to check out the scene at 42nd and Agnes.
Around 1:30 a.m. officers noticed a stolen car near 44th and Benton Boulevard. There was also a second vehicle in the area. Police pulled over the second vehicle and ruled that it was not connected to the carjacking.
The driver of the first vehicle took off from police and led them on a short chase. The chase came to a halt when the driver crashed into a power pole at Cleaver and Prospect.
Police arrested the driver at the scene.
